Man is a social animal. For him solitude becomes curse if extended for longer. Since today’s fast moving world does give man time to think beyond work, social media has become an effective tool helping man to socialize and enhance his knowledge.

One can define social media as an effective online tool which is used by people to emancipate knowledge, socialize, share opinions, discuss, helping people from around the globe to interact at a particular time.

Has not social networking sites grown due to social media, it has enhanced the business prospects of people. It has become a source of employment for millions of people. Networking sites like Orkut, Facebook, and Twitter are a perfect example showcasing the importance of social media. Some other famous social media applications are Google and Wikepedia.
Social media is important not only in the professional life. But school and college goers are being helped by it tremendously.

Internet critics have become the Achilles’ heel for every creative person putting up his or her work on the internet.
Internet critics are basically people giving their opinion on everything under the sun. They will judge a work of art be it a painting, a photo, a poem or even a movie. These people have made it their business to criticize everything they can get their hands on.
Well the problem starts when an important thing is about to get released and an internet critic gets a look at it. For an instance, if a movie is about to be released in a week or so and an internet critic gets to see a special screening, he or she will immediately go onto the internet and post a review. Most of the times the review is usually, negative. This hurts the movie’s business a lot.
Most of these critics are usually teenagers or young adults writing from their parent’s basement. They have a view on everything in the world and they will express it in every way possible.

No one in this world has been spared by the critics. Whether it is a splendid product, a well known personality or any other thing, all have been the victims of criticism at one or at the other point of time. Internet, which has made significant impact on the people from different walks of life, too has not been spared by the critics. While most believe that the internet has helped in transforming their lives, the critics have come up with serious arguable points that cannot be neglected.

One such criticism for the internet is that as any person on this globe can have their own website. Some people have misused this liberty to spread unrest in the world. Also some websites provide all the valuable information on any particular like making of bombs, how to commit suicide, etc. which can prove to be lethal in some cases. Also there is an easy access to many immoral sites and many people especially the younger generation have suffered at the hands of these unethical websites. Also internet is considered to be the Pirate’s paradise especially those offering illegal movies and music download provision to the users.

These are some of the several criticisms that need serious attention and a governing body should be created which should lay several guidelines before a website can be created.
